Our Story
Belizean owned and operated
Nestled in the lush jungles of western Belize, Monkey Fall Lodge began as one man’s promise to the land. Pablo, a Yucatecan Mayan Mestizo and a “farmer of the heart,” set out to build cottages that honored the forest and its wildlife. For every tree that was cleared, he planted mahogany hardwoods, coffee plants, fruit trees, and vibrant flowering garden.
Today the lodge is a living legacy: low‑impact cottages tucked into the canopy, trails that invite slow discovery, and a rhythm that honors local traditions and biodiversity. Here true luxury is waking to birdsong, breathing fresh jungle air, and finding calm beneath the trees.
Come and experience an authentic Belizean hospitality, eat organic from our farm, and enjoy the quiet luxury of nature.

Posted on Airbnb Isabell5 November 2025Verified We had a great time!! We werde at Cabin 3 with 3 people and we had everything we needed. The kitchen had good utilities and the terrace was super cozy. We had a car rented and this was definitely needed. It’s still a little far from anything close by so we would definitely recommend a car or use the shuttle what there are providing. We will come backPosted on Airbnb Kelly29 October 2025Verified The cabins are so lovely, especially the screened porch to enjoy the hammocks. The entire property is quiet and secluded and it really feels like you’ve got it all to yourself! We ordered from the kitchen a few nights and it was delicious, and having access to laundry is so convenient.I got to sit and chat with Rose for a while and she is absolutely wonderful. They’ve created a really special place here.Posted on Airbnb Chadwick23 May 2025Verified A perfect cabin in the jungle. A waterfall and swimming hole around the corner. This is central to many good day trip locations too. The cabins have everything you need and is a nice cottage feel. Decks are completely screened in with hammocks. Rod and Rose are very kind and Rose’s cooking in the kitchen must be tried!Great spot!Posted on Airbnb Kelly8 April 2025Verified This place is magical. Surrounded in the jungle. Sure it’s not “in town” but that’s also the appeal! Still super close to get into town and everything close by. Having the rental car option right from their location was amazing. We rented for one day to take advantage of all the breathtaking wonders around (big rock falls and rio on pools). So much to see on site as well- nice walk through the coconut orchard was lovely. Rose and help made the most delicious meals. We really enjoyed the screened in porches with hammocks and would just swing and lounge the day away listening to the noises outside.Posted on Airbnb Dmytro13 March 2025Verified We had a pleasure staying in one of the cabins. The territory was very nice, and the place feels private and peaceful. The cabin was big enough to comfortably accommodate four people (two adults, two kids), clean, and had everything we needed. The host was very friendly, and provided many recommendations about activities in the area. We would stay there again.Posted on Airbnb Shaen8 March 2025Verified Our stay at The Cabins at Monkey Falls (Cabin #3) was great! We used this as a home base to explore the San Ignacio and Cristo Rey areas. The owner, Rose, lives onsite and is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner onsite and we felt very well taken care of by Rose. We also appreciated having access to laundry facilities at a reasonable cost. The screened in porch offered a peaceful place to relax in the evenings.Posted on Airbnb Kim21 January 2025Verified Beautiful location, super helpful staff, Feeling of privacy, clean accommodations.
